Standard Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Bridgetown (Barbados)

    Embark Royal Clipper in Barbados.

  • Day 2 - Captain's Best (Grenadines)

Today, benefit from the Captain's local knowledge and discover a Caribbean hideaway island in the Grenadines.

  • Day 3 - St George's (Grenada)

The 'Spice Island' of Grenada has a mountainous interior, dominated by Mount St Catherine, and tumbling waterfalls. Cinnamon, cloves and ginger grow here, and the shore is a winding series of white and black sand beaches edged with rich vegetation. Perhaps walk to Annandale Falls outside St George's, and for shopping, make for Grand Anse.

  • Day 4 - Tobago Cays (Grenadines)

The idyllic Tobago Cays are five small uninhabited islands and a lagoon protected from sea swells by Horseshoe Reef. Enjoy a day exploring, relaxing and beachcombing.

  • Day 5 - Kingstown - Admiralty Bay (St Vincent and Bequia)

St Vincent is a good place to spot humpback and sperm whales and schools of dolphins. For a dip, Owia Salt Pond on the north-eastern coast is warm and inviting, sheltered by volcanic rocks, and the Vermont Nature Trail winds past exotic flora through rainforest. For the chance to swim with turtles, visit Bequia's Turtle Sanctuary.

  • Day 6 - Fort-de-France (Martinique)

Fort-de-France is the sophisticated capital of Martinique. The island has beautiful Savane park, and Diamond Rock, a diving heaven with coral and sponges galore. Clement House is an old plantation with a rum factory in the grounds offering tastings. For people watching, take coffee along the capital's Boulevard Allegre, and for stunning views, go to the Caravelle Peninsula, the site of a ruined chateau.

  • Day 7 - Marigot Bay - Soufriere (St Lucia)

St Lucia is well-known for the Piton twin-peaks, its rainforest and the indigenous St Lucia parrot. The verdant landscape gives way to banana, coconut and mango plantations. At Marigot Bay, the marina is full of glamorous yachts, boutiques, bars and restaurants, and the area of Soufriere has sulphur springs created by the nearby volcano, and beautiful Anse Chastanet beach.

  • Day 8 - Bridgetown (Barbados)

    Disembark Royal Clipper in Bridgetown.

The Captain reserves the right to alter the itinerary to suit wind and weather conditions.
